Last updated: 08/09/2026
1. About this Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy explains how Terivo Ltd ("Terivo", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our pre-launch website and any pages, content, features or functionality made available through it (the "Website").
Terivo Ltd is a company registered in Scotland under company number SC854291, with its registered office at Alloway House, 6 Alloway Place, Ayr, KA7 2AA.
Terivo is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office ("ICO") under registration number ZB942131.
This Cookies Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal data more generally, and our Website Terms of Use.
This Cookies Policy applies to our pre-launch Website only. Terivo is not currently providing broadband services. Before customers are able to order a Terivo service, we will publish an updated cookies policy explaining the cookies and similar technologies used in connection with the provision and administration of our services.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device, to operate securely and reliably, to remember choices you have made and, in some cases, to collect information about how the website is used.
We also use technologies that are similar to cookies but which work in a different way. These include:
-
Local storage and session storage, which allow information to be stored in your browser rather than in a cookie file.
-
Pixels, tags and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of code that allow information to be requested from or sent to a server.
-
Software libraries, scripts and other resources that are requested by your browser when a page loads.
In this Cookies Policy, references to cookies include these similar technologies unless we say otherwise.
Cookies may be first party, meaning they are set by the website you are visiting, or third party, meaning they are set by another organisation whose technology operates on that website.
Cookies may also be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3. How we obtain your consent
Some cookies are strictly necessary for our Website to operate, to keep it secure or to provide a service you have specifically asked for. These may be used without your consent, as permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
All other cookies are non-essential. We will only use non-essential cookies where you have given your consent.
We use a consent management platform provided by Usercentrics GmbH to obtain and record your consent. When you first visit our Website, you will be presented with a consent notice allowing you to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies or manage your preferences by category.
Your choices are recorded so that we can demonstrate the consent you have given and so that you are not asked again on every visit. Details of how your choices are stored are set out in section 6.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time. Details of how to do so are set out in section 9.
4. Categories of cookies we use
We group the cookies used on our Website into the following categories.
4.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the Website to function, to keep it secure and to protect against fraudulent or malicious activity. They also include the cookie that records your cookie preferences. Without these cookies, parts of the Website would not operate correctly. These cookies do not require your consent and cannot be switched off through our consent notice.
4.2 Functional
These cookies allow the Website to recognise a visitor across a visit or between visits and to support features that improve how the Website works. They are not strictly necessary for the Website to operate.
4.3 Analytical
These cookies allow us and our technology providers to understand how visitors find and use our Website, to measure Website performance and to identify ways in which the Website can be improved.
4.4 Marketing
These cookies would be used to measure the performance of advertising, understand audiences and improve the relevance and effectiveness of our advertising. We do not currently use any marketing cookies on our pre-launch Website. If we introduce them, they will only be used where you have given your consent and this Cookies Policy will be updated first.

Our Website does not currently use analytics or advertising technologies provided by Google, Meta or LinkedIn. Our Privacy Policy explains how such technologies would be used if they are introduced. Where they are introduced, they will only operate where you have given the required consent and this Cookies Policy will be updated to describe them.
8. International transfers
Some of the organisations whose technologies operate on our Website are based outside the United Kingdom or process information in countries outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer complies with applicable UK data protection law. Section 7 of our Privacy Policy explains the transfer mechanisms we rely on.
You can contact us at dataprotection@terivo.co.uk if you would like further information about the safeguards applying to a particular international transfer.
9. Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time using the consent controls available on our Website.
Where you withdraw consent, we will stop using the relevant cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your consent was withdrawn.
Cookies already stored on your device before you withdraw consent are not automatically deleted by changing your preferences. You can delete existing cookies through your browser settings, as described in section 10.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our consent controls because the Website cannot operate securely without them.
10. Managing cookies through your browser
Most browsers allow you to view the cookies stored on your device, delete them individually or in bulk, and block cookies from being set. These controls are usually found in the settings, options or preferences menu of your browser.
Information about managing cookies is available from your browser provider, and general guidance is published by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If you block or delete cookies, some parts of our Website may not function correctly.
11. Changes to this Cookies Policy
We may amend this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Website, the technologies we use, our suppliers or legal and regulatory requirements.
The date shown at the top of this Cookies Policy indicates when it was last updated.
